Safe Moving & Handling
A half-day course aimed at those who carry out manual handling in the workplace. Introducing candidates to the hazards of manual handling, the risks involved and controls available. Candidates are encouraged to look at their own work activities and contribute to the development of safer practices, in co-operation with their supervisors. On completion of the course, candidates will be able to:
- Understand the basic anatomy of the spine
- Understand the principles of safer handling
- Apply the principles in a practical context
- Know their responsibilities and those of their employer in relation to manual handling at work
- Demonstrate an understanding of the main provisions of
the Manual Handling Operations Regulations
On successful completion of the course candidates will be
award a certificate of attendance.
Fees from 35 GBP per candidate excl VAT
