CPR & AED
This course is designed to teach the safe and
effective use of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) to
improve the chance of survival of casualties suffering from
Cardiac Arrest.
The course is suitable for any make of AED
On completion of the course the candidates will be able to:
- Understand the 'Chain of Survival'
- Perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Understand the concept of defibrillation
- Safely and effectively use an Automatic External Defibrillator
- Combine CPR with AED
On successful completion of the course candidates will be
awarded a certificate of competence, valid for six months. To
re-qualify candidates attend a further 2-hour refresher course.
